Bike Has arrived

My bike has arrived! Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far, I am only about $500 away from reaching my goal. Unfortunately it's been raining for most of the day today and I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to go out and really put her through the paces.

No more snow

Lovely day today here in Colorado. 6" of snow is gone and the 52/15 fixed is working like a charm minus the fact that my brake it loosening up and no longer "necessary" but necessary. Made a bunch of purchases today for requisite gear and am getting much closer to raising the $4000 for this trip. Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive, May can't come soon enough...

On another note, I don't know what I'm going to do with the bikes that I have now while I'm on this trip.

More snow

I suppose I was a little spoiled when it was 55 and sunny in mid January. It's been snowing at sub 20 for about 2 weeks now. Whats surprising is that this never stopped me from doing anything when I was on the East coast, but I can see now how people get trapped in Denver, it is the Hotel California. Looks like it's more indoor training...

ouch.

Does rock climbing count as training? I hope so because it hurts like I've been training. Yesterday was the first time I went back up the wall after I was hit by a car last fall. Funnnn times...

Flyers have arrived

There was a sale on 4x6 postcards I found online, so I ordered 500 of the image below and will be handing them out in person around Denver. I'll probably drop a few off at the local bike shops and cafes. I also received my first donation from a friend whom I hadn't spoken to in a while, proof that Bike & Build brings people together.
